Mr. Alan Surell, served as Vice President/CTO of eCommerce of First Data Corp., and served as VP, IT from September 1994 to March 2013. Mr. Surell started at Citicorp Card Services in 1988 which was spun off to create Card Establishment Service, which was later merged into First Data Corp in 1994.  Mr. Surell focused on delivering leading product innovation to the hundreds of thousands of merchant and financial institution clients that partner with First Data for payment acceptance solutions. He has more than 25 years of experience as an Information Technology Executive in the financial services industry. He is known for crafting the requisite strategic vision to achieve business goals, he offers a unique blend of executive acumen, global team-building, and product solutions, credited with strong ROI and operational improvement.   Mr. Surell’s payments background includes credit cards, debit cards, money movement both domestically and internationally, e-commerce, m-commerce, high volume transaction processing, B2B, B2C, P2P.  Mr. Surell has a BS in Accounting from University of Maryland, College Park.
